AI Trend Video Clone: Recreate Viral Motion
Looking for an AI that clones trends? Upload a reference clip, describe the change and recreate a viral video's motion with your own character on Seedance 2.5.
Last updated: 2026-10-21
An AI trend video clone is what an AI that clones trends makes: it recreates the motion, pacing and camera movement of a short clip you upload, with your own character or product in the lead role. It is not a digital-twin avatar and not a face swap. In SceneOak you upload an MP4 or MOV reference clip in the chat, render with Seedance 2.5 and describe what should change; the cheapest reference render costs 530 credits plus 10 for the chat message.
What "cloning a trend" means in AI video
People use the phrase for three different things:
- Rebuilding a video's structure. UGC Copilot's video cloning guide describes studying a high-performing video and rebuilding its hook, pacing and format with your own material, copying the structure and strategy rather than the original footage or brand.
- Motion transfer. A reference video guides the movement of a new subject. This is what SceneOak offers, through Seedance 2.5.
- Putting a real person's face into someone else's video. We do not offer this, and our Acceptable Use Policy prohibits swapping a real person's face onto someone else's body.
"AI clone" is also often used for digital avatars of a person. This page is about recreating a video, not about avatars.
How to clone a trend's motion, step by step
- Upload a reference clip you have the right to use as an MP4 or MOV file in the chat. Each clip must be 1.8–30.2 seconds, and all reference clips together may not exceed 30.2 seconds. Links to TikTok, Reels, YouTube or other sites are not accepted.
- Use Seedance 2.5. When you attach a video or audio file, the composer switches to Seedance 2.5 for this visit and shows a notice. Reference video is currently offered on Seedance 2.5 only.
- Add your character. Attach an image of your own character, mascot or product so the agent can pass it as a reference image.
- Describe the change. Refer to the files as @Video1 and @Image1, for example: "@Image1 performs the motion of @Video1, vertical 9:16, same pacing."
- Pick resolution and length. Choose 480p or 720p and an output of 4–30 seconds. The result reports the

Prompt patterns for trend recreation
Write the motion, rhythm, camera and format as separate parts so each one is easy to revise in the next message. Use your own characters and footage, for example:
- "@Image1, a cartoon fox mascot, performs the dance steps of @Video1 in a sunny park. Keep the beat of the steps; 9:16."
- "A ceramic mug from @Image1 turns on a studio turntable, following the camera push-in and timing of @Video1."
- "A corgi follows the walking rhythm of @Video1 along a beach at sunset; handheld camera, 9:16."
Seedance 2.5 can generate audio. If you use music, you are responsible for having the rights to it.
What it costs
The price depends on output seconds plus reference seconds. Shorter reference clips cost less.
| Settings | Video credits |
|---|---|
| 480p, 4-second output, 1.8-second reference | 530 |
| 480p, 5-second output, 5-second reference | 900 |
| 720p, 5-second output, 5-second reference | 1680 |
Each chat message adds 10 credits, and each successful render is charged again. See current plans for what credits cost.
Limits and what we do not do
- No pasting of platform links: the reference must be uploaded in the chat first.
- No automatic breakdown of a video's hook or script. You describe the change yourself.
- No face swaps, and no frame-by-frame copy of the original shot, sound or choreography. The reference guides the result; it does not guarantee a match.
- Reference videos can be up to 99 MB and are most reliably checked as H.264 MP4 files. Other formats or sizes may be rejected.
- Before generating, we check the prompt, every image and three frames of each reference video. If anything is flagged, nothing is generated and the video is not charged.
Use your own footage and characters
Only upload clips you filmed or have the right to use, and do not use copyrighted music videos or meme footage you do not own. If a real person appears in your character image, you need their consent, and some real-person references may be refused by the model. Our Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules on real people, deepfakes and copyright.

Frequently asked questions
What is an AI trend clone?
It is a new video that copies the structure or motion of a trending clip with your own subject. UGC Copilot's guide (checked 21 October 2026) describes it as rebuilding a video's structure with your own material. "AI clone" can also mean a digital avatar, which this page does not cover.
Can I paste a TikTok or Reels link to clone it?
No. Upload the clip as an MP4 or MOV file in the chat first. Links to other sites are not accepted.
Which model is used for reference-video cloning?
Seedance 2.5, through fal's Seedance 2.5 reference-to-video model (checked 21 October 2026). It is currently the only model on this site offered with reference video.
How long can the reference clip be?
Each clip can be 1.8–30.2 seconds, with all clips together no longer than 30.2 seconds. The output can be 4–30 seconds.
How much does it cost to clone a trend?
With a reference video, the price is 0.6 × (output seconds plus reference seconds) × the per-second rate, rounded up to the nearest 10 credits. The cheapest render is 530 credits, plus 10 for the chat message.
Is it free?
No. Even the cheapest reference render costs credits. See how credits work and our plans.
Can I put my face into a viral dance video?
You can use a photo of yourself, or of someone who has given consent, as the character performing a motion. You may not swap a real person's face onto someone else's body. We do not guarantee the model will accept references showing a real face.
Will it keep the original song and exact choreography?
We do not promise a frame-by-frame copy of the choreography. Seedance 2.5 can generate audio, but the rights to any original song are your responsibility.
Is my reference video checked for safety?
Yes. We check three frames of each reference video, at about 10%, 50% and 90% of its length, before generating. If anything is flagged, the request is refused and the video is not charged. Reference audio is not covered by this check.
