Build a paper-craft scene from text: a pop-up book opens, a scarlet dragon unfolds and takes flight. Unlike the two image-based case studies, this example has no uploaded opening frame. The prompt supplies the setting, material, action sequence and camera scale.

Input, result and full prompt

The input is text, with no source image. Below are the finished clip and the full prompt used when opening this example.

Paper Dragon Awakens

Kling 3.0 · text to video · 5 s · no audio

Bright cinematic stop-motion macro shot of a colorful pop-up book opening by itself on a sunlit children’s art-studio table. A tiny scarlet paper dragon unfolds from the center crease, stretches its accordion wings, then leaps into the air and circles once above the book as cheerful paper trees bend in its wake. Colorful paper scraps spiral through warm midday sunbeams. Handmade paper fibers, practical stop-motion imperfections, playful monster energy, clean pastel background, precise readable motion, no text, no logos, no human hands.

How to approach the shot

  1. Describe the material and setting. Paper fibres, a pop-up book and an art-studio table establish the intended handmade appearance. “Stop-motion” describes the visual style; this clip is AI-generated video.
  2. Write an ordered action. Opening the book, unfolding the dragon and taking flight give the model a sequence. Review which steps actually appear in the clip.
  3. Keep the shot readable. The macro framing and clean pastel background focus attention on the small dragon.
  4. Review shape changes. Check the fold-to-wing transition and flight path. For a simpler first variation, stop the action after the wings open.

Model, settings and cost

The published clip uses Kling 3.0 Standard, 5 seconds, 16:9, with no audio. Reuse loads Kling 3.0 Standard, five seconds and 16:9; image-to-video framing follows the source image. Current renders include audio, so the historical silent clip is not an exact reproduction recipe. English and Chinese entries load prompts in their respective languages; translation and generation randomness can also change the result.

A default five-second render costs 350 credits, plus 10 credits per chat message. Add both when one message starts one default render. Extra conversation, another render or a different duration costs more; check the workspace estimate before sending. See plans and credits.

The example button only loads the input and settings; it does not generate or charge automatically. Signed-out visitors go through sign-in first. If you have a personal draft or attachments, the workspace asks before replacing them. Review the prompt, media and estimate before choosing to send.

Variables you can change

  • Colour: change scarlet to another clear colour while keeping the rest of the scene stable.
  • Material: compare paper with felt or cardboard, treating these as untested variations rather than promised effects.
  • Action: remove the circle above the book and ask for one short hop.
  • Composition: keep 16:9 for a similar frame. If you add your own opening image, you are changing to an image-guided setup and should review the result separately.

These are adaptation suggestions, not separately tested outputs. Change one variable at a time to make differences easier to judge.

Limits and result checks

Text alone does not fix an exact character design or book layout. Folding, unfolding and flight can merge or deform; a five-second clip may omit part of the requested sequence. “No text” is an instruction, so inspect the book and background for unwanted marks.
